Notes: Deleting Records Exercise

You are going to learn how to delete a record from your database.

  1. In the Data Manager, right click on a parent record from the top window pane.
  2. Select Delete from the right click menu.
  3. The Deletion Check dialog will prompt you to confirm the deletion. Click Yes.

The record has been marked for deletion but still remains in your database.

  1. To remove the deleted record from your database you must Purge your database. Click the Data menu and select Database Operations | Purge
  2. The Deletion Warning dialog will prompt you to confirm the deletion of all marked records in your database. Click Yes.
  3. The record marked for deletion has been permanently deleted from your database.
