Survey Software for Data Capture

PocketSurvey (PS) is an integrated survey software suite that provides all the design, data collection, data validation, data storage and reporting facilities that you need when undertaking surveys or asking questionnaires.

You don't need any additional software components, but if you wish to use the collected data in another database or analysis tool, it is readily available as comma separated value files (CSV files) or Excel spreadsheets as well. These CSV files import very easily into MS Access, SQL Server and all other database systems of worth.

Whilst PocketSurvey has excellent facilities for transmitting collected data back to base via the Internet, the data collection itself is done using local storage rather than with web pages.

PS Survey Designer

The easy-to-use survey questionnaire designer does not require any programming knowledge to be able to design complex data collection surveys. It is even easier than a word processor! No need to laboriously specify repeated questions or responses, PocketSurvey does it all for you. There is a question type to suit every need, and changing between question types is easy too. PS Data Manager

Once synchronised with your PC, the captured data is immediately available for analysis by other software programs such as Excel, SPSS and SQL Server.

However, if you use the in-built PocketSurvey database, you get the advantages of a fast and powerful relational database such as SQL Server or MS Access without any programming at all! Every survey that you create automatically defines and creates a database. In turn the desktop database, or selected records, can be sent back to a handheld device for re-surveying. Find out more

The data doctor reporter is the easiest and most flexible flat file CSV editor and statistical analyis tool that you will ever use. It is the perfect complement to the PocketSurvey data collection system.

PS Business Reporter

PS Data Collector / Data Viewer

The data collector lets you enter data sequentially, randomly or via forms, or indeed any combination of input methods. You can skip back through questions, jump to different sections of the survey and re-answer and review answers at any time. Provide help screens for your surveys. Provide popup help and procedures for all the surveys that you produce, complete with graphics and pictures. Help screens can even be produced for each individual question. Find out more

PS Data Mapper

The ability to specify unique data names any question means that you can produce a data output format to suit your exact needs. However, if you have a special requirements such as the need to split your data into multiple tables (for SQL Server) or to re-organise field layouts, you can do it easily with PocketSurvey's data mapper module.
